A member of staff from West Middlesex Hospital was fired after assaulting an elderly patient on New Years Day.

Martha Sackey-Addo, 53, appeared at Feltham Magistrates on June 30, charged with common assault on an 88-year-old woman.

The Isleworth grandad who fell asleep at the wheel killing his wife and granddaughter was sentenced in a New Zealand court today.

Michael Eades, 62, pleaded guilty to three counts of careless driving causing death and was sentenced to 150 hours community work and banned from driving for a year.
