A PATIENT has hit out at a hospital for a series of misdemeanours.

Helen Ollason, 25, of Thackery Close, Isleworth claims that a doctor at West Middlesex Hospital on Twickenham Road, Isleworth failed to diagnose a common infection, treated her incorrectly and hid her medical results.

City workers swapped their smart suits for Lycra suits as they tackled a gruelling bike ride for charity.

19 bankers, doctors and volunteer lifeboat crew battled through a 380km ride from London to Paris to raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), including the Chiswick branch.


SHOCK figures show a hospital to have the second worst midwife to birth ratio in the whole of the UK.

The data come from a BBC Panorama report which show that West Middlesex Hospital on Twickenham Road, Isleworth, has, on average, one midwife for every 43.88 births.

A PRIMARY school will lose a well loved teacher this July, who served in the classroom for a staggering 37 years, writes Rebecca Lewis.

Mary McLarnon, 59, of St Margaret's, Twickenham, taught at The Blue School on North Street, Isleworth for almost four decades.

Pupils rocked out in front of their parents and teachers in a West End inspired performance.

Students at Marlborough Primary School on London Road, Isleworth performed a special adapted showing of a Queen musical called Schools Will Rock You for parents, teachers and friends last week.

A YOUNG budding chef has made it through to the final round of a national ice cream making competition.

Nine-year-old Amelia Butcher who attends the Blue School on North Street, Isleworth is one of 10 finalists short listed by Sainsbury's in a competition for seven to 14-year-olds to create the nation's scariest ice cream.

ARTY pupils are getting ready to wow audiences at a school play with a twist.

Girls at Gumley House Convent School of St Johns Road, Isleworth have spent weeks cutting and stitching ready for a puppet production of Roald Dahl's The Witches.

RESIDENTS are being invited to have their say about how their local hospital is run.

West Middlesex University Hospital's Annual Public Meeting will take place on Tuesday July 19 and attendees will be able to put questions to the Trust Board and hear about the hospital's progress over the last year, as well as its future plans.
