Syon Lane is to be closed through the night while resurfacing works are carried out.

Transport for London started work on the A4 at its junction with Syon Lane (Gillette Corner) on Wednesday and is expected to be finished by next Wednesday with the weekends remaining undisrupted.

Primary school children are appealing for blitz survivors to come in and speak to them about their experiences during the war.

Pupils from Marlborough Primary School in Isleworth are keen to learn as much as they can from elderly people who experienced the second World War first hand, and are hoping some can join them on their special themed day on March 30.

Part of Isleworth's Wood Lane is to be closed next weekend.

The part of the road north of the A4 is to be closed to southbound traffic on February 13 and 14, to enable National Grid to make urgent repairs to a gas main in the southbound carriageway.

The children's indoor adventure centre is asking for children to come in fancy dress on Saturday 6th February.
