Syon Lane is to be closed through the night while resurfacing works are carried out.
Transport for London started work on the A4 at its junction with Syon Lane (Gillette Corner) on Wednesday and is expected to be finished by next Wednesday with the weekends remaining undisrupted.
Primary school children are appealing for blitz survivors to come in and speak to them about their experiences during the war.
Pupils from Marlborough Primary School in Isleworth are keen to learn as much as they can from elderly people who experienced the second World War first hand, and are hoping some can join them on their special themed day on March 30.
