Save St John's Community Centre
St John's Community Centre in Isleworth has this week issued an appeal to get residents involved in its many activities.
The centre in St John's Road, Isleworth, is holding an open day on Saturday, October 25, where various groups will give demonstrations of their activities in an attempt to encourage local people to get involved.
Donna Eaton, from the Isleworth branch of The Embroiderers Guild, one of the societies that use the hall, said: "The centre desperately needs more support from the wider community, to join in the activities and consequently help with the ever increasing financial burden."
The open day will take place between 11am and 3pm hosting displays from groups such as Brownies, badminton players, embroiderers and life-style groups.

I don't think people are aware of how good some of the activities are in the centre. My 6 year old daughter attends 'Upstage Drama Academy' on a Tuesday evening at 4.15 and loves it. If the centre wasn't there she would miss out on her drama.
