isleworth-stagecoach.jpgA pupil from an Isleworth drama school has made it into the BBC's new Charles Dickens costume drama.

Drama lessons at Stagecoach, held in Gumley House Convent School in Gumley Gardens, have paid off for Cal Weyland-Oliver.

The five-year-old was selected to play Young Tip in the BBC adaptation of Little Dorrit, which is to be screened this Autumn.

His mum Val Weyland, who is also the principal of the school, said: "I'm thrilled he has done so well. However I think he will end up working on the other side of the camera, as he loves all things technical."

Val, who lives with her son in Sunbury, is holding an open day at the school, on Thursday September 18 from 6pm, to give children and parents a taster of what goes on.

The school trains in dance, drama and singing for children aged between four and 16, and has three hours of classes per week.

We'd like to hear from you.
