Pupils' Daley exercise regime

Posted by Dan Lyons on Jul 18, 08 01:05 PM in Schools/colleges

daley_thompson_2_mg.jpgDouble Olympic gold medallist Daley Thompson visited a sports club in Chiswick in a bid to encourage youngsters to get active.

Pupils from St Mary's Primary School in Isleworth were put through their paces at the Riverside Club as they joined the decathlon legend in a series of activities including swimming and martial arts.

Daley was in the area on Thursday, July 11, to launch Nestle GO FREE, 2008.

The scheme gives children and their families access to free sports, activity sessions and lessons at more than 3,000 participating venues throughout the UK.

"Staying active is key to a healthy mind and a happy lifestyle, so itÕs vital that we as parents encourage our kids to be active and keep moving," he said.

We'd like to hear from you.
