Pensioner conned by heartless thief

Posted by Lucy Proctor on Jul 15, 08 03:20 PM in Crime

An 85-year-old Isleworth woman has fallen victim to a distraction burglar who convinced her to sit watching her kitchen taps as he ransacked drawers and cupboards upstairs.

The heartless thief gained access to her home by posing as a water board employee who needed to check her pipes.

The man, described as white, 5ft 9ins, aged 32, with short, dark brown hair and a slim build, made off with jewellery and £625 cash following the burglary in Bridge Road, at 5.45pm, on July 10.
