deal-or-no-deal-Carol-Scarr.jpgA martial arts fanatic from Isleworth has won £16,000 on hit TV show Deal or No Deal.

Carol Scarrott, 48, from Worton Road, gathered with family and friends to watch herself beat the banker after taking 24 days off from her job as manager of the West Middlesex Hospital's sexual health clinic to take part.

"It was so brilliant," she told the Chronicle after winning last Thursday. "I am a big fan of the show. I didn't have any tactics or aims. I just thought I went with nothing so if I come back with something that's great.

"I made so many fantastic friends on the show and Noel really puts you at ease.

"There is quite a strict selection process to get on to the show, you just have a one in 30,000 chance of getting on, they seem to pick the people with interesting stories."

Carol has a black belt in the martial art of Ji Jitzu and met her husband George, a martial arts teacher, when training at his Brentford club, Kiai Yamabushi Ryu.

On the couple's wedding day George snapped a concrete block in half while it lay on Carol's stomach.

As of yet the high-kicking couple are not sure what they want to spend the money on, but urge anyone who would like to take up martial arts to contact them on georgescarrott@hotmail.com.

We'd like to hear from you.
