15 children spotted in police car!
Officers from Osterley & Spring Grove Safer Neighbourhoods Team spent the afternoon with children from the Ladybird Lane Day Nursery on July 30.
The children, aged between 2 and 5 years, had just finished reading about "Burglar Bill" when the police arrived.
They learnt about Police Officers and Police Community Support Officers, what they did, the equipment they used and how they could help them.
Children love dressing up and this was no exception - soon they were donned in police uniforms and hats. Most exciting however was the chance to sit in the police car and at one point 15 youngsters had jumped on board! The bright lights and of course the sirens were a great hit.
PC Watters stated; "We were delighted to be invited to come to the nursery. It's great to spend time with young people and let them know that we are there to help them."
