An Isleworth primary school has received 'outstanding' Ofsted results with pupil's standards being well above average.

Teachers and pupils from The Blue School CE Primary school in North Street, Isleworth, are absolutely thrilled with the glowing report they received from inspectors.

The school received a grade 1, the best possible grade, with only one small area for improvement involving governers' support.

A letter sent to the school's pupils from John Carnaghan, Lead Ofsted Inspector, said: "You told me how happy you were at your school and that you thought it was very good. I agree!

"The Blue School is outstanding and the way your teachers care for you and guide you is excellent.

"I was very impressed with the excellent teaching and the way pupils and teachers work so well together to learn.

"This means that standards at the school have been much higher than those in most schools for many years and your acheivement is outstanding.

"You are doing so well because your excellent headteacher and your teachers make up a strong team and work very hard to give you the best possible chances.

"Almost all schools that are inspected are given advice about things that need to be made better. Your school is unusual. It is so good that only one area needs improvement."
